Social Media for Business is designed for you if you want to start from the beginning and develop a strong foundation for working in social
media. While exploring the mainstream platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+ and Pinterest, you’ll learn how to
create and schedule business posts as well as how to navigate these sites. You’ll also learn how to set up a social media manager such as
Buffer or Hootsuite. This is also a good refresher if it's been a while since you've taken a social media program.

Content covered during the program will include:

• Facebook foundations
• Fundamentals of mainstream platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest)
• Setting up a social media platform
• Background settings (controlling the privacy and business setting needed to help google find you)
• Calls to action
• Accessing and analyzing insights
• Benchmarks and goals
• Security protocols

There are additional requirements for the Zoom online programs, as follows:  The program must be taken on a computer, laptop, or tablet; phones will not be an accepted device. Participants must have an Internet connection, hardwired preferred to wi-fi, high speed (no dial up). Headset or earbuds must be used, and the participant must have a webcam, if no camera in their laptop; video participation is a requirement, to ensure the connection to the instructor and other participants. A quiet place to focus is required, free from distractions. These details will be part of the INA process.

Time: 1:00pm - 4:30pm

Classes will run every Wednesday for 11 consecutive weeks. Registration is not confirmation of acceptance in the program; you will be contacted as to your status after an individual needs assessment, and no later than January 20, 2023.
